On Kaanapali Beach, The Whaler is located just north of Whalers Village. There are a number of restaurants in Whalers Village but the two with beach front bars are Hula Girl and Lai Lani's. Rusty Pelican is just off the beach, and in the middle of Whalers Village is Chicos. All four restaurants serve lunch, happy hour and dinner.

Shopping at Whalers Village is most cases is geared toward a more expensive taste. There are some shops that have managed to keep the price down, but deals are not what Whalers Village is about.

This is a shopping center that has been around for a long time. What was once El Crab Catcher is now Hula Girl. And before it was El Crab Catcher it was a gym/spa. Rusty Pelican has been Rusty Pelican for a long time, but it use to have a grill and customers would cook their own hamburgers. Lei Lani's was Chuck's Steak House and Chicos was a sandwich and ice cream restaurant called, Sea Scoop. Finally, there was a movie theatre on the first floor where sharper image and the book store are today. Yes, Whalers Village has changed in many ways, but it has always kept the historical information about the whalers. Although the whale displays and museum are not a large part of Whalers Village, they are an important and interesting aspect to the shopping center. So remember to check out the museum, displays and whaler memorabilia while you browse the shops and enjoy the food at the restaurants.
