On Maui there are many places to get supplies and groceries. If you are staying at Gails Maui vacation condo at The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach you will have a fully stocked kitchen, access to barbeques and an igloo. Economically, there are a few things to consider when you go out to get supplies.

CostCo (if you have a membership) is located in Kahalui near the Kahalui Air Port. This is a great place to get most your supplies, especially: steaks, sodas, beer, and produce. If you are flying into Maui and will arrive in Kahalui, you may want to get the CostCo shopping taken care of on your way into Kaanapali Beach. However, if you decide to wait, CostCo is an hour away from The Whaler.

Safeway is located between Lahaina and Kaanapali Beach. It is along side the Cannery Shopping Center and is easily seen from Hanoapiilaini Highway. This is a fully stock Safeway and you will find everything you need. Also, if you are looking for a place called Mala Boat Ramp (SCUBA boats will leave from Mala) it is located behind the Cannery Shopping Center and Safeway.

K-Mart is located next to CostCo in Kahalui in central Maui. Personally, K-Mart is not as good as the Wal-Mart.

Wal-Mart is located near K-Mart. To get to Wal-Mart continue down the highway toward Kaanapali Beach and Lahaina. Wal-Mart is in the same shopping center as Lowes, Home Depot and Borders.

Maui, Kaanapali Beach and The Whaler have a number of small general stores for snacks and sundries. They tend to be expensive, but sometimes a Soda, Candy bar or Sun block is worth the price.
